Paid $4.52 on My Publix Trip

It was with sadness that I handed over my last Budget By The Horns $5 off $30 PQ last night for my regular salad stuff trip. I have relied on that coupon since last August to essentially ensure I did not pay for food and products for over half a year. I still have dozens of gift cards ready to pick up the slack the lack of this coupon will generate, and it will rock my world. I just hope USF has another promotion this summer and continues the tradition of handing out that little booklet in August. So, I can probably make it through June and July with just the Winn Dixie $5 off $30, but my shopping will be cut in half - no more stockpiling, just the essentials. I hope the PQ in the Tampa area this week is a $5 off $30, they're due in the lineup IMHO.

Anyway, not much in the ad appeals to us this week and the only store that takes expired coupons for 30 days is now being overshopped and there are no overage items like kotex liners or vitamin D. There was some sominex to help a little. I did manage to get a couple rainchecks last week for the Bushes Beans to get some overage this coming month when I need it. This trip I saved $80 and spent $7, which is a lot for me - but will become more the norm I'm afraid. The batteries were what did me in and I probably could have gotten a better deal somewhere else but alas I can't pay elsewhere with Publix giftcards which is my favorite currency.

Paid $4.93 on My Publix Trip

I haven't been shopping very much since the sales just haven't been that great and we don't eat processed foods which is what they seem to have on sale lately. The expired coupons have been a savior for making a little overage, but even thats not a sure thing since everyone else seems to know which stores take expired and they have cleared out all the MM items. You darn stay at home moms - leave some for us working folks!

 

Anyway, I was pleased to see that Sabra hummus was finally BOGO and we can use a coupon from the spring gathering booklet. That booklet has been kind of a dud in my opinion. Besides the Hefty pans and the Sabra, I don't think I've used any other coupons from that. The other deal I did was getting the Rotissarie chicken when you buy 3 participating items. I ordered the $1/1 TQ Pantene coupons from Kuntry Klippers so I hope they come soon. I am getting depressed that my Budget By the Horns PQ's are ending this month, that little booklet has been my savior since last August. Hopefully, USF will have the promotion again this summer and I'll score some more.

 

The other deal I didn't see until after my shop is the scrubbing bubbles, there is a $2/1 MQ at the Right at Home site and it stacks with the $1/1 TQ printable, making it a little moneymaker since SB is $2.50 this week. And of course the baked beans are a moneymaker too with the facebook coupon.

 

So this trip I spent around $5 and saved $71.95.
