My Publix Trip - Spent, $1.67, Saved 97%

I haven't been posting my trips lately because I get distracted as soon as I get home and put the stuff away before thinking of taking a picture. Today is no exception, but at least you can see my list which details out everything. I know I've mentioned that I use the Grocery Tracker app (its free on Google Play store) and I've figured out how to have separate lists for each store. This is critical because each store has different rules about expired PQs and TQs. The last couple weeks have brought a lot of change to the stores I usually shop. One store used to take expired PQs for 30 days and they've eliminated that now. They also cracked down on using more than one TQ because of the wording on the TQ. So, my favorite store has fallen off my list and I haven't been there in weeks. Another store that does take expired PQs mentioned that they don't care how old the PQs are, one lady used a PQ that was three years expired! But that store has also started to limit TQ's to 1 per customer as the wording says.  So, since the Papermate pens moneymaker with the TQ is a big motivator, I've been sticking to the couple stores in the neighborhood that gladly accept 10 TQs per transaction.

Anyway, I have a lot of the Sweetbay $5 off $30 to use before they expire Sunday so I'll be making the rounds shopping between remodeling the office and painting the living room. I hope the PQ in the paper this weekend is a good one - I'm hoping for produce or a $5 off $30.

I did want to point out again that this weekends Sunday Inserts are pretty good and worthy of buying some extra papers. The Redplum inserts have $1/1 reach toothbrushes which you can stack with the $1/1 reach PQ in the GAB for a moneymaker on Reach toothbrushes. Also there is the $1/1 Reach floss which you can get for $0.87 at Walmart with a small moneymaker there. There are a couple school supplies coupons too - the Bic Write Bros $1/1 means free pencils and the $1/3 Roseart coupon means free stuff too.

So here's my shop. I'm going again this evening to get the produce because the store I went to yesterday doesn't have the best produce. I'm bummed I didn't get a lot of shrimp earlier in the week when it was on sale, now I can't really find anything more in the seafood dept that's a good deal with the seafood coupon. But I can use it expired at a couple places so I'll wait for a sale again on shrimp. The Stoneyfield yogurt is a good little moneymaker. You can print 3 coupons from each computer so just go to their website and enter a different email address each time to get the $2/3 coupon.

#Rays 10 Strikeout Promotion - Kane's & FREE Papa Johns Pizza 2012

It's back again in #Tampa area - The Kane's Papa Johns 10 strikeout pizza promotion! Yeah. Again, this year you can get the free pizza (or upgrade to a Large for $5) and you don't even have to attend the game. You can simply go downtown Tampa to the Rays store, or to Tropicana Field in St Petersburg and pick up a voucher if you don't have a game ticket.

 

If you went today to get your vouchers, you can pick up one for the 7/21 game where they got 15 SO against Seattle, the 7/20 game where they got 17 SO against Seattle and the 7/19 game against Cleveland (which was Double Thursday so you get two vouchers!!). So one trip today would net you 4 pizzas! Bring your i.d.

 

Here's how it works this year -

 

Every time the Rays strikeout 10 players from the opposing team during a single home game, fans can get a coupon for a free 10-inch pizza from Papa John's. There are TWO ways to get this coupon.

FOR FANS THAT ATTENDED THE 10-STRIKEOUT GAME

Within 7 days of the 10-strikeout home game, take your ticket stub to any Kane's showroom location to redeem a coupon for a free Papa John's pizza.

FOR FANS THAT DIDN'T ATTEND THE 10-STRIKEOUT GAME

You can pick up one free pizza voucher at either one of the following locations AND then bring that voucher into any one of Kane's showroom locations within 7 days of the 10-strikeout game in order to redeem your free Papa John's pizza coupon. Follow STEPS 1 & 2 below.

STEP 1 – Pick up your voucher at one of the following locations:

• Visit the Rays Pro Shop and Ticket Outlet to pick up one free voucher to redeem at Kane's Furniture within 7 days of the 10-strikeout game. Frugal Living: Save money every month with wise spending habits

Generating income may not be a difficult task if tried for, but you will not be able to build up your wealth if you don't have wise spending habits. Frugality is not just a way of life; it is also a state of mind! If you want to save money, you will have to find out those money leaks and adjust as per requirement. Recurring bills that you can cut every month

Home phones: All of us have a set or two of cell phones and hardly use a home phone. So, a home phone is not have much of a requirement. It may sit at one corner of your house and you have to pay a certain sum every month because of it. You can simply do away with it. It will help you save a certain amount every month.

Cell phones: Though cell phones are a necessity these days, it digs a hole in your pocket every month. As you can't get rid of it, you should take steps to cut the bill. You can check out various pre-paid and post-paid plans with different service providers and chose the one that suits your purpose and doesn't cost you much.

Gym membership: Most of us have enrolled in a gym and pay for it every month. But how many times in a month do you visit the gym? Due to our hectic work schedules, we hardly get time to visit the gym. If you're really concerned about your fitness and want to avoid gym membership fee every month, try jogging every morning. You can run in the parks, beaches or even on the road.

Car washing: It can be understood that oil changes and other car maintenance work may not be your cup of tea but you can wash your car on your own. You will require car soap, sponge or terry cloth rags and a hose pipe in order to wash your car. This can be easily done in the weekend and won't take much of your time.
