My Publix Trip - Ouch

I'm really missing the SAL coupon about now. Plus the fact that our moneymaker vit D went up in price to make it almost worthless as a MM unless you need to get your totals up which we don't need to do unless stacking a competitor and Publix coupon. I just can't get myself to spend $40 for that Winn Dixie booklet. I'm going to just live off my stash of giftcards for a while and hope that some other regular source of free competitor coupons shows up. My Publix booklets of $5/$30 runs out at the end of May so then things will get really interesting.

I'm lovin' livin in Tampa where we get all the PQ's in the Sunday newspaper. I hope they have another deli coupon, but that could be dangerous (and fattening). Anyway, onto my shop. We really don't eat foods out of a box (junk or processed foods), so this week's sale doesn't really offer much. We need to get our salad stuff of course, and we used a couple of the bakery PQs. We have a lot of chicken in the freezer so we got some of the Ken's marinade to flavor it up. My DH needed to stock up on drinking water for at the office (I HATE buying this! - I'm trying to get him weaned off it by the end of May because it takes up our overage all the time). We're almost out of green olives for salads so we got those. I know I should try to buy at Wags or CVS when they have those store coupons but I just hate going there too.

I guess its been a long day, my writing is just a little too crabby. We did have a fairly good shop considering; spending only $2.89 and saving over $57, for a savings of 95%. I'm just going to have to get used to it. At least it was under five bucks.

My Publix Trip - Gone to the Dogs

With the new Publix Pet Club coupons the Milk Bones are definitely the moneymaker of the week. My dog loves the chewy treats especially well as she is aging and should eat less crunchy stuff. Anyway, I powered up all six computers to print as many PQ's as possible. I may even resort to begging for more from friends, in exchange for dog treats. I also had some produce PQs to finish up since they expired. today. And it was the beginning of the new Green Advantage Flyer and I had forgotten it has another Sundown vitamin coupon ($5/2) to use to get Vitamin D as a moneymaker too.

Some things I noted today. The PQ pet coupon is only good on the Healthy Favorites variety and they were out at one store so its a good thing to get a rain check for. The Sundown vitamins that have always been $2.99 have raised prices to $3.29.  Also after I left the store I was trying to figure out why my total was so negative (I don't usually try to get more than a dollar paid to me) and the Sundown LU# is taking off $6 rather than $5, so that's where the extra $2 off came from.

I was able to get all the Milk Bone dog treats to use up all my 12 PQ's. My receipt says I saved $94.90 and I was paid $2.92, so my savings was over 100%.
