My Publix Trip - Paid $8.94

Since it was the last day of the month I wanted to use up any expiring coupons. I saw the deal about the febreeze auto fabric refresher spray and picked up some of those to use the expiring febreeze PQ from the Olympic donation sheet. This has been a great week for overage and I've been stocking up on gift cards with the overage, but we have been getting lax about what goes in the cart. DH always wants his drinking water jugs and we splurged on some shrimp for stir fry with the Eat Smart Veggies we got earlier in the week. I found some more Kimberly Clark booklets so I was able to stack those PQ's with the new speed stick BOGO MQs that were in the 1/29ss this past weekend. There was also a $5 rebate when you buy $10 of products, so 4 deodorants ($10.60) is all you need to get that rebate.

So, this trip we spent over eight dollars, but got our $15 GC, plus another $5 GC for the rebate. So it was a moneymaker trip. There was $151 in savings.

 

I urge everyone to carefully plan your trips if you're trying to get the $10 GC wyb $100 (new in ad coupon for new sale). In my opinion, you may be better off just keeping your trips small using your $5/$30 coupons. Three small trips of $30 will earn you $15 off, whereas you can only use one $5/30 per order even if its $100 order. The optimum combination is to use a $5/30, plus a competitor $5/50 (Sweetbay coupon is in today's paper, back of local Tampa Bay section) or $5/25 and get your order to $100 to also get the $10 GC. I'm planning on buying the Purina One Beyond Dog food to bring my total up ($7.99 cost w $7 coupons). If you were a genius and got rain checks for the GM Cereal and approval to use your expired in ad coupons that will bring up your total as well.
